These pages show the detection
times of recent worldwide earthquakes, as recorded by the Elfrad Group
Philippine Islands 02/13/00 18:19:34.4 5.4N 127.1E Depth= 118 Km M= 6.0 This graph shows the electrical precursor and seismic activity, before and during this earthquake, that occurred in the Philippine Islands, which is located 14,653 kilometers distant. Note the precursor activity which began at 16:12:44.4 UT. These ULF electrical signals were detected 120 minutes prior to the earthquake. Due to the nature of propagation of electrical signals through the earth, Intense ULF bursts were recorded at almost the same instance of occurrence. The "P" indicator shows that "Seismic" waves were not recorded until 16 minutes after the initial earthquake. These are the signals which are recorded by seismographs. All the letters in red indicate various types of seismic waves as they passed through this detection site. Our sensors recorded the electrical activity caused by the piezoelectric effects of different types of crystalline structures in the earth.
The above graph is a screen shot of the spectrum analysis, which was taken during the same time period of the previous graph. Note the high amplitude of the frequencies between .02 and .05 hertz. Every major earthquake which has been recorded by Elfrad, has shown this unusual feature preceding each event, up to 120 minutes prior to the main shock. ©2000
