As may be seen in the schematic diagram, the EMF detector and the display driver circuit share the same power source. The prototype runs on eight AA batteries. Fewer or smaller batteries could be employed, though a significant decrease in battery life should be expected.
The power switch, not shown in the schematic diagram, should be connected between the circuit and the power source.
