Capabilities of the Febetron
We fired the Febetron with the Aqueous Resistive Load installed, and
recorded the pulse form by connecting a digitized oscilloscope to the
Pulsar Voltage Monitor of the Febetron. The scope has a sampling rate of
300 MHz.
Here is the results that we got:
1. This is the output waveform at a charging voltage of 16kV.
2. This is a "self-fire" pulse at the same air pressure as in (1). It fires
at 16.5kV.
3. This is the output waveform at a charging voltage of 18kV.
4. This is again a "self-fire" pulse. The pressure in the module column is
kept the same as in (3). It fires at 19kV.
