  • Fully Integrated UV System. Consists of USB-interface UV-VIS
spectrometer (200-850 nm), a deuterium-tungsten light source with attached 1-cm cuvette holder, and a 400 µm solarization-resistant optical fiber

  • Fully Integrated VIS System. Consists of USB-interface VIS spectrometer (400-850 nm) and combination light source-1-cm cuvette holder that attaches directly to spectrometer

Our CHEMUSB2 Spectrophotometers are small-footprint, low-cost systems for convenient, easy-to-perform UV-VIS and VIS-NIR absorbance measurements.

Our UV Lab Spectrophotometer covers the 200-850 nm wavelength range.UV System. The CHEMUSB2-UV is the perfect marriage of our USB-interface spectrometer technology and modular accessories. The system consists of a USB2000 Spectrometer with a combination deuterium-tungsten light source-1-cm cuvette holder, a 400 µm solarization-resistant optical fiber, high-speed electronics and operating software.

Priced at $3,999, the CHEMUSB2-UV covers the wavelength range from 200-850 nm, has optical resolution of 2.0 nm (FWHM) and captures 2048 wavelengths in <1 second.

A complete VIS Lab Spectrophotometer that's smaller than your mouse pad!VIS System. At just 3.5" x 4.0", the CHEMUSB2-VIS Spectrophotometer packages a high-tech built-in light source, a full CCD array spectrometer, a holder for 1-cm cuvettes, and high-speed electronics. This small package frees today's scientist from the confines of a permanent lab and allows the CHEMUSB2-VIS to be taken easily into the field. Used with its associated software, the CHEMUSB2-VIS provides real-time, PC-based spectroscopy and captures full spectra from 390-900 nm in only 25 milliseconds. Back in the lab, the small-footprint CHEMUSB2-VIS alleviates clutter and opens up valuable bench space.

Priced at only $2,999, the CHEMUSB2-VIS Spectrophotometer offers many advantages over the decades-old monochromators and colorimeters familiar to many chemistry labs. The unit is reliable, with no moving mechanical parts to misalign or break down. Data acquisition and processing capability is greatly increased. For example, many outdated systems measure only 1 wavelength at a time. The CHEMUSB2-VIS measures 2048 wavelengths simultaneously.

Hassle-free Spectrometer-to-PC Interface. With their USB interface, CHEMUSB2 Systems can be attached effortlessly to the USB port of a desktop or notebook PC running the Windows 98 or 2000 operating systems. The plug-and-play software recognizes the spectrometer, loads calibration coefficients and starts data retrieval.

Modular Design. CHEMUSB2 Systems have a modular design that offers great flexibility. In fact, optional accessories can be easily added to the system so users can switch among absorbance, reflectance and emission experiments. The unique integrated design allows the cuvette holder to be substituted with an illuminated test tube or filter holder, an oxygen sensor, or one of Ocean Optics' 800 fiber optic accessories.
