Laser Comms Hardware

The gear I will be using for the experiments:-

Transmitter:

Laser Diode Module from Oatley Electronics ($AUD8 ea) modulated by tone generated by Creative Labs Soundblaster soundcard.  The hardware to convert the sinusoidal wave from the soundcard to OOK signal needs to be designed.

Receiver:

OPT210 from Burr-Brown plus amplification to a level suitable for inputting to the Soundblaster card.

Optics:

100mm Maksutov telescope with spotting scope plus telephoto lenses with eyepiece.
