SchematiCAD is a specialized drawing program for electronic schematics. An extensive parts bin gives you the pieces for your drawing, then you can auto-wire with just a click. If manual routing is required, click the turn points and your wiring is done. Pieces snap-to-grid, rotate, flip, and resize, and wiring will "rubber-band" to moved components. Drawing tools let you modify or customize parts, design new ICs, or relabel contact pins. Detail work is no problem with zoom capability up to 5,000%. A clear tutorial and online help make learning a snap. Some drawing conventions are non-standard, but a few minutes with the program will have you working naturally with "rect-select," the rectangle selection method that replaces drag/drop for selecting components. This evaluation version is full-featured with the exception of saving your work. At this bargain price for such a powerful tool, you won't mind registering.
