Note 1:
The update does no longer require the original disk for startup.
With our Key Code you open the MRP373 for unlimited usage!
This may help to overcome problems starting the MRP37 under WIN98.

Note 2:
For Morse sending via com-port the Send Pin can be changed
available is RTS, DTR, NON
The same selection is available for the Repeat Pin
(repeating the incoming Morse)
If required then make changes in the Mdec.bat, Rec.bat and Play.bat
One can change the option -SendPin=RTS to other value.
One can change the option -RepeatPin=NON to other value.
For indication of proper work of com port use for example
LED plus series resistor 10 KOhm directly connected to selected Pin and GND
Look up Pin numbers in the picture c:\mrp373\ConnectTX.gif
 

Note 3:
A new feature is an additional output line in the RS232 Com port, used to
trigger the PTT while MRP373 is sending.  This is for those who need to
connect the VOX function of the transceiver in order to trigger the PTT
automatically while MRP373 transmits Morse code.
The TX pin of RS232 Com port is set to continuos HIGH during
sending the morse code. (on RTS pin)
In 9 pole connectors the Tx-pin is PinNo.3
In 25 pole connectors has Tx-pin is PinNo.2
 

Note 4:
New Option to switch OFF the Automatic Speed Track
This is very useful for unattended beacon recording.
Also very useful during presence of strong "neighborhood" signals.
Usage:
At location RX= xx WpM click middle between + and - sign to change mode of
Speed-AutoTrack function.
Background red  : "AutoTrack" disabled (Stop)
Background green: "AutoTrack" enabled  ( go )
Key: Pos 1
 

Note 5:
Minor change for more user comfort:
The Rx-Speed increase/decrease-factor for each step was made smaller:
Rx step factor is now 1.05  (in former version factor was 1.10 )
 

Note 6:
Automatic Time Stamp automatically added each full hour to the
recent recording file MORSExxx.TXT. Also very useful
for unattended Beacon recording.
 

Note 7:
We highly recommend to use original Creative Labs Soundcards
MRP373 is able to drive quite a number of compatible soundcards as well!
MRP373 will not be able operate Yamaha OPL3 sound devices and no PCI type soundcards.
