22-mar-2001: Version 3.8. Meteorscatter speed 10X featuring a special version of the Duplo Hell (4-FSK running at 612.5 bauds). Troposcatter speed 1/8X. Executable file recompiled with a newer version of the C++ compiler.
19-jan-2001: Version 3.7. Meteorscatter speeds (5X and 9X). French help file translation.
05-aug-2000: Version 3.6. New user interface (more similar to Stream program) with more usable space and self-sizing macro buttons. Option for calling the Stream program without closing the program (CTRL+H). Flag in the preferences window for having ADIF logfile's date/time in UTC format rather than local format. Customizable sidetone center Frequency (right mouse click). Satellite full duplex mode. FM-Hell shift tester. Better default FFT resolution. Actual frequency calculator reads the current sidetone value.
01-may-2000: Version 3.5b (beta release, not yet official). New filtering engine with FIR filters restored (selected upon "computer speed"). Improved C/MT Hell. FM245 shift divider (feature to be tested on air).
08-apr-2000: Version 3.5a, reorganization of Hell modes. Duplo-PSK has been deleted (didn't show significant improvements). FSK-Hell replaced by the experimental SSB-PSK wich is now called FM-Hell (both 105 and 245 baud versions are provided). Tuning lines in waterfall display.
01-apr-2000: New version with PSK-SSB Hell experimental modes. It is the normal PSK signal where the lower sideband is suppressed by a filter. This makes the signal look like an FSK signal. Hell users are invited to run tests and to compare with the normal PSK-Hell mode. The new release 3.4 includes Log and Linear scale in the waterfall display and the number of characters in the TX buffer selectable in the preferences panel.
17-mar-2000: New mode DUPLO-PSK-HELL: it is an half way between PSK and Duplo. There are two PSK modulated carriers scanning two separate columns. As for Duplo, this trick let to reduce the symbol rate to and gives extra robustness to QRM. Changed the behaviour of "idle character": now if there are at least four characters in the TX buffer they will be sent instead of waiting for a word to be completed (this helps if you are writing quite long words). Font in use displayed in the status bar. Better contrast of own transmission in RX display.
16-mar-2000: version 3.2 - User interface improvements (bigger buttons). Button for sending a two carriers signal for visual IMD checks. If the sound transmitted is intermodulated the other party will be able to see harmonic images of the two carriers. The more number of harmonics, the more the intermodulation. If sound is set correctly only two pure carriers should be visible. Added foreign language characters (in Feldnarr.fon only because is hard work). Fixed space between letters of CW-ID and made CW signal less "smooth". Fixed menu item PSK245 baud and eliminated the old option "reduce power on idle". Added metacommand $IMD and $PSK245. I am also working on a DUPLO-PSK-Hell version, and, if I learn how to get rid of the intersymbol interference, on a MT-PSK-HELL version (5 parallel tones running at 64 baud).
28-feb-2000: version 3.1 - CQ and pre/postamble definable; updated Czech and Spanish help file; PSKHELL 245 mode in menu.
23-feb-2000: version 3.0 (final release): all bugs of the beta have been eliminated.
18-feb-2000: moved to the a new banner-less website! I hope there will be no download problems anymore! Official URL for IZ8BLY's ham radio pages is now: http://space.tin.it/computer/aporcino
17-feb-2000: version 3.0f, the program is now ready to communicate with next version of the world wide famous "Logger" program by Bob Furzer K4CY
