DEAR PSYCHIC: I live near an area in California
called "Robbers Roost" or better known as
"Vasquez Rocks'. During the 1850's a bandit named Tiburicio
Vasquez and his band of outlaws
robbed wagons, stage coaches and towns in the surrounding area
and it is believed they buried
some of their loot near Vasquez Rocks. Can you fell me if there
is treasure there to be found?
BOB - Los Angles. Ca.
BOB, I didn't locate any treasure buried by Tiburicio Vasquez
however, it appears that area may
be a depository for treasures dating back into the 1600's. I am
not including the locations that are
inside the park. The four locations that I marked on your aerial
photo are outside the park and
appear to be on vacant property. I wish to note that the scale of
the aerial photo was too small to
pinpoint but the locations should be within 200 feet of the
places I have designated and are listed
as follows:
#1. Make a concentrated effort on locating this one. It's nice
and it's shallow. It was buried
during the 1800's and appears to be over 100 pounds of Gold in a
single deposit buried
approximately 5 foot deep. I see four (4) Gold Statues and a
glass jar covered with leather
(rotted) containing Gold Jewelry with up to 20 carat of Emerald.
#2. Buried circa 1830. There are four separate deposits within an
area of 100 feet in diameter. I
see up to 100 pounds of U.S. minted Gold coins wrapped in cloth
that is now rotted and up to
250 pounds of smelted Gold in the form of discs. The depth of
these deposits are approximately
9 feet.
#3. I didn't mark all the deposits at this location but you can
expect at least two rows totaling 15
deposits of Gold Bars with 50 to 100 pounds in each deposit. This
Gold appears to have been
mined and smelted by the Indians circa 1658 and is presently
buried approximately 17 feet deep.
#4. This is more of the 1658 Indian project. There are at least
20 deposits of Gold Ore and/or
Nuggets scattered within this area containing up to 100 pounds
per deposit and presently buried
approximately 16 feet deep.
DEAR PSYCHIC: I am writing.from Panama and ask for your help. I
am searching the place
the map dowser tells me that there is buried 10 tons of Silver
bars at nine feet deep. (Drakes
Treasure?) I use several Dowsing rods and an MFD. They all point
to a big Cedar tree that is
old. Now what can I do? I draw you a sketch of the location of
the tree and trail. Jose - Panama
JOSE, You have found treasure although I do not see this as the
treasure of Sir Francis Drake.
It was buried during a different time period. Nor, do I see any
10 ton quantity of Silver. I would
advise you search the area for Gold also. You may have an even
more valuable treasure than the
Silver. I've marked on your sketch the locations and where to set
your MFD to get the maximum
readings.
I see a line of 13 deposits of Silver coins spaced evenly apart,
running past the east side of the
Cedar tree and ending in a triangle. I believe these coins were
minted in Panama circa 1723 and
buried by the Spanish at this location circa 1789. The good news
is that I also see a parallel line
of 14 deposits of Gold bar and coin evenly spaced apart, ending
in a triangle just to the East of
the Silver. The Gold also appears to have been minted in Panama
at about the same time. All
the deposits are about 8 foot deep.
The reason the Dowsing Rods are pulling so strongly towards the
Cedar tree is that a Gold
deposit near the tree is in an iron chest and there is a natural
deposit of iron on the North side of
the tree. This is producing a strong magnetic field. Do not rely
on Dowsing Rods for
discrimination. I don't sense much natural Gold or Silver in that
particular area so it will be
easier to isolate the buried targets. Good luck with your
recovery and if you are successful
perhaps you will share some photos with us.
REPLY FROM BOB IN LOS ANGLES
DEAR PSYCHIC: On the weekend we took the MFD and went to Vasquez
Rocks and
checked out two of the locations you gave us. We got good
readings at both the locations and
now we are looking up the property owners to get permission to
dig. Thanks for the good
advice.
