GetDP

A General Environment for the Treatment of Discrete Problems

Description GetDP is a scientific computation software for the numerical solution of integro-differential equations, using finite element and integral type methods. The main feature of GetDP is the closeness between the input data defining discrete problems (written by the user in ASCII data files) and the symbolic mathematical expressions of these problems.

Executable versions of GetDP are available for Windows and for most of the classical UNIX platforms. These versions are free. The only thing required if you use GetDP is to mention it in your work. A sample demo file is included in the archives.

Authors GetDP is developed by Patrick Dular and Christophe Geuzaine, of the Department of Electrical Engineering (ELAP) of the University of Liège, with the help of many other people.
Links Gmsh is a three-dimensional meshing tool (with pre- and post-processing facilities). Written in C/C++ and using OpenGL, Gmsh can be a useful companion to GetDP for mesh generation and post-processing.
