Loaded Dipole Above a Soil Interface

The input impedance of a single antenna in close proximity to a soil surface is shown in Figure 1.

The soil in this case is modelled as a first order Debye medium.

Figure 2 shows a wire frame geometry of the cross-polarised dipoles located close to a ground surface containing a buried pipe. Figure 3 illustrates the response from this target.
