Archive-name: Satellite-TV/satchart-pointer Last-modified: October 17, 1993 NOTE: This pointer will be posted in news.answers and rec.answers the day or the day after I release a new version of the chart. This is a brief pointer to where one can find the latest South Scanner Satellite Services Chart version 2 number 9 (dated October 17, 1993). The South Scanner Satellite Services Chart is a listing of the North American television satellites with the audio and video services that a home dish owner can receive from them. The chart is free to use and may be distributed to other places following the "no-nonsense" distribution policy found in the chart. Also included are Atlantic and Pacific satellites that some people in North America can receive. The chart can be found in the rec.video.satellite newsgroup (or the HOMESAT mailing list) on the date of release. It is also available from FTP at: oak.oakland.edu or former Simtel20 archive mirrors. Check the /msdos/satellite directory for it. The file name is SSV2N9.ZIP. You can Email the author Robert Smathers (roberts@triton.unm.edu) directly for it. In return, you will get a UUENCODED, ZIPped chart. The .ZIP file used with the South Scanner chart is compatible with PKUNZIP v2.04g. Unzip equivalents for other platforms should able to be easily found. Robert Smathers roberts@triton.unm.edu
