Emily's Crystal Convertible
The picture was a first attempt, and not my camera, but here is one model.
I included a volume control for local stations, and used an old telephone
handset, cut off, for the earpiece, fed from a 1000:8 ohm transformer,
although it probably wasn't necessary.
Switches are for broad/sharp detector tap, and for xtal (1N34)/ amp.
The day I installed it in her room and hung an antenna and ground wire
for it, I was solemny advised by one of her friends that "they couldn't
get it to turn off", hi. Base is scrap wood, panel is galvanized
flashing, and you can see the amp just in front of the coil on the right
