Solar Prominences affecting
Radio waves

Look at the prominence upper left, this would cause some radio interference in some frequency bands
and this year we face the possibility of massive coronal discharges that are beyond the normal 11 year
cycle. The diagrams show little influence ( at the time ) on VHF frequencies, and a great deal more on
the 30 kHz frequency.

This 28 minute sequence shows an anomaly starting at 23:10 Hrs and lasting 17.3 minutes
long, the VHF frequency above is almost unaffected. This year could show some very
powerful anomalies, possibly interfering with all kinds of airborn communication.
Including satellite and GPS, radio and TV.

The blue ball above the white line shows the size of the earth relative to a large discharge
