1. FFT Properties - Spectrum analyzer

 

FFT Properties is a PC based report oriented real time Scope/Spectrum analyzer.  It features  parametric windows, peak interpolation, rich set of peak marking features, on-line wavelets decomposition, higher order spectral analysis, cross and auto correlation, cepstral analysis, cross spectral analysis, FIR filter designer, decimation and interpolation, advanced printing and high quality charts. Special care has been given to accurate phase angle measurement. FFT Properties is one of the few frequency analyzers in the world  that features extremely accurate non-parametric phase angle measurement of non-periodic signals and linear phase peak filtering . 2. The Basic Delphi signal processing package 

 

The package represents FFT Properties 3.5 in parts. BDSPP includes key components on which FFT Properties 3.5 are based. The vast majority of the functionality offered by FFT Properties is available from these VCL components. The application was build with the components in question. The properties of the components and the edit boxes of the FFT Properties coincide almost completely. Therefore, it is always possible to check the calculation procedure towards a working application and know in advance what the results should be. Go here for a quick start on using FFT component. 3. FFT Properties 3.5 VCL

 

This package offers a complete source of FFT Properties 3.5 based on BDSPP. The source provided can be used to allow modifications to existing FFT Properties 3.5 shareware to better meet user needs. It includes no additional documentation next to FFT Properties 3.5 shareware and BDSPP docs. The project requires TeeChart Pro 4.03 to compile in Delphi 4,5 or 6.. The trial version for TeeChart is available for free at www.steema.com. FFT Properties 3.5 VCL is NOT royalty free. The distribution of derived work from FFT Properties 3.5 VCL requires one license of FFT Properties 3.5 shareware for each copy of the derived work.

How to (signal processing):

  1. Generate Gaussian noise in real time.
  2. Generate white Gaussian noise and color it (make it frequency band limited) by using FIR filter in real time.
  3. Make Gaussian noise white.
  4. Check the linearity of your signal processing equipment
  5. Measure the frequency of a certain spectral component with highest possible accuracy.
  6. Test the coherence and the transfer function estimation. FFT properties also estimate power spectral density of the input and output and cross product.
