Several instructors suggest that Part 3 of the Laboratory Procedure—that part dealing with the effect of angle of incidence on the transmission of the spike filter—be made optional, and only Part 2 above, that part at normal incidence, be completed in the laboratory. They suggest that the results of angle of incidence versus transmission be discussed with the students, but that, in the interest of time, Part 3 be eliminated or made optional.
