I recently got hold of the Kodak Professional Photographic Catalog 2000. Here
are the catalog entries I found for Infrared and Holographic Film. This info may
be useful if you have to make a special order, and to compare the retail price
to the list price.

Cat. No.	Size	Spec. No.	Letter Code	Sales Unit	Price (US$)

169 2086	135-36 HIE 1 roll 13.56

KODAK PROFESSIONAL High Speed Holographic Film (ESTAR Base) SO-253

KODAK EKTACHROME Professional Infrared EIR Film (AR-5 or E-6 color slide)
144 8406	135-36 EIR 1 roll 28.83

KODAK AEROCHROME II Infrared Film 2443 (AR-5 color slide)
134 1098	35x150 653 195.30
898 5616	70x100 494 242.40

840 3057	9-1/2"x125'	949 1,108.65
856 7133	9-1/2"x125'	981 1,771.05
191 1015	9-1/2"x125'	957 3,533.75

You notice they still list 4x5 HSI, which could cause confusion with your
supplier. (Of course, there is the usual "subject to change without notice"
disclaimer.)

If anyone wants me to look up other specialty Kodak products, please e-mail me
off-list.

Bertha

PS. I am not sure how the formatting will look on some readers, so if it is too
messy and you want the info I can send it to you as a text file. -- Email:

KODAK AEROCHROME II Infrared Film 2443 (AR-5 color
slide)
134 109 35mmx150 feet 653	$195.30
898 5616 70mmx100 feet 494	$242.40

Wow, Color Infrared Film is finally available in bulk
35mm rolls! One should be able to get about 30 rolls
out of a 150 foot bulk roll, so that makes it a lot
cheaper to shoot, about $6.66 per roll compared to $18
dollars a roll for prepackaged film. I've been
splitting 70mm Color IR film into 35mm bulk rolls, but
now I won't have to do all the extra labor.

I tried to order some bulk HIE 150 feet x 35mm film a
few days ago from Kodak. Kodak now has a minimum
order requirement of around 30-40 rolls. This brings
the total to about $12,000 per minimum order,
esentially making this film format unavailable.

A year ago they discontinued the 400' length.

I wouldn't be surprised if they discontinued the 35mm
HIE casette in a couple of years. They seem to be
promoting their Color IR films as being better and
digital IR photography is making some strides.

Peace, Rolland
