---------------------------------------------------------- Several users have reported difficulty using MRP with the Ensoniq brand of soundcards (for example, in Gateway 2000 computers). You can download the latest drivers and tech-support information from their web pages. http://www.ensoniq.com/ http://www.gw2k.com/ ---------------------------------------------------------- For propper uasge of Ensoniq Soundcards the Blaster emulation has to be set. Also correct Blaster environmet variable has to be set. After successfull download and installation of our demoversion please do this steps: 1. Start Mdec.bat when screen comes up copy "System ID : xxxx xxxx" 2. Send System ID to POLAR.Electric@cww.de 3. Receive KeyCode from POLAR (for limited trial period of fullversion) 4. Modify the Mdec.bat like advised below. 5. Start Mdec.bat when screen comes up hit F1 Key and insert KeyCode --------- Modify the Mdec.bat -------------------------------------- Add two lines to the MDEC.BAT file: 1) Specify the BLASTER environment variable 2) Run the SoundBlaster emulation for DOS programs. Use the NOEMM program, since MRP372 doesn't need extended memory. This avoids the need to add EMM386 to your CONFIG.SYS These lines will vary from computer to computer (different interrupts, different subdirectory), but this is basically what MDEC.BAT now looks like for example: _______________________________________________________________________ SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T1 C:\ENSONIQ\NOEMM MRP372 -f11025 -mOnline -iLINE -COMx Tx37.wav _______________________________________________________________________ Note: 1. you can find correct blaster variable using WIN95 You have to find it and to add it manually : - Start your computer, run WIN95 - Press Start button - Go to Programs, go to MS-DOS ... - Type at the DOS-Promt c:\Windows>SET - Now a list of settings apperas - Look for BLASTER=xxxx xx xx xx xxxx xx - Add it to Mdec.bat 2. To start Morse decoder you can also use the Shortcut MDEC372 POLAR Electric http://www.POLAR-Electric.com/morse/MRP37
