PHOTO 3 : ANTENNA UNIT INSTALLED ON A VEHICLE
Antenna unit installed on a passenger vehicle. Cargo strap is routed
through the passenger compartment, back seat area. Passenger doors can
still open and close freely, cables are routed through rear window
( slightly opened ) on passenger side of vehicle. Antennas are installed,
but not clearly visible in this photo.
Note the ( crude ) "padeyes" at the edge of the ground plane, through which
the cargo strap is routed... these prevent any fore/aft motion or "creep"
of the cargo belt. Eventually, they will be replace with small nautical
deck cleats, to provide smooth/rounded edges for the belt. ( to prevent chaffing )
